Chef de Cuisine
Matty Melehes was born and raised in the Tetons. He developed a love for hospitality at an early age and, while traveling with his family between the mountains and the beach as a child, realized that communities can only be as strong as what they are able to supply. With a deep love for food, Matty left the US to study Restaurant Management at Dubrulle School of Culinary Arts in Vancouver, BC. After graduating and studying under chefs Robert Clark and Tina Fineza he returned to Jackson Hole in 2009, where he became Sous Chef at the Rendezvous Bistro at the age of 22. Matty studied for almost four years under the Bistro’s Executive Chef/Partner Joel Tate and in December 2013, took the helm at the Q Roadhouse & Brewing Co. As Chef de Cuisine at Q, Matty marries his knowledge of casual fine dining with his appreciation for the breathtaking area in which he grew up. Jackson Hole will always be his home. Matty’s mission at Q Roadhouse & Brewing Co. has been and will continue to be to showcase and support this amazing community, including the extensive network of local farms, ranches and creameries.
